Sam Benson Named as Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast Region

As Daetywler USA continues to deepen its connections to professional press operators across the country, it announced the recent hire of Sam Benson as its new Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast, serving Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Southern Virginia. Sam brings 30 years of high-level pressroom expertise to the role, and will serve as the main point of contact for troubleshooting, sales, press optimization, and more for clients located in the region.

Though he replaces Bobby Furr, who recently retired this month, Sam is not new to Daetwyler. Prior to joining the company, Sam held an executive role with Troika Systems Ltd – makers of AniCAM HD™, the state-of-the-art 3D microscopic camera that Daetwyler offers for evaluating anilox rollers for optimum performance.

“We have always had an excellent relationship with Sam as part of our relationship with Troika. But his hands-on experience operating in pressrooms for nearly three decades is exactly the knowledge base we seek for our team” said Marty Cansler, Managing Director of Sales and Technical Support for Daetwyler. “I know he will continue to advance our mission of helping all pressrooms see the value that the latest technologies and best-quality equipment can bring to their operations.”

In addition to his time with Troika, Sam served as a Technical Sales Representative for Provident. Before that, he spent more than 25 years with the Bryce Corporation in various roles ranging from Press Operator to Team Leader, and Process Technician.

“Sam’s skill set is impressive,” added Cansler, “and he truly has seen it all first hand. Troubleshooting, color management, process improvement, root cause analysis, laminating, technical support, ink challenges, quality control, manufacturing, business development, and beyond – he’s the kind of expert that our clients expect from Daetwyler and we’re happy to have him aboard.”
